My NGO, Artists 4 Development (A4D), enhances existing educational programmes in disadvantaged & marginalised communities in Kenya. We do this by placing local artists into part-time teaching posts; international teachers into Kenyan schools as assistant teachers, & volunteers into these same schools.

A4D is an inclusive global community of contributors who creatively, & incredibly cost-effectively, bring out the artistry & creativity in children. In doing so, the NGO boosts children’s innovation & employment opportunities.

Artists 4 Development doesn’t build schools nor initiate basic educations. We energetically & creatively boost existing educational programmes – where funding is tight & content very basic – so artists, teachers & volunteers can creatively scale up school curriculums to a much higher quality, with arts-based activities.
